Existence of positive solutions for a second-order p-Laplacian impulsive boundary value problem on time scales
In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for a second-order multipoint p-Laplacian impulsive boundary value problem on time scales. Using a new fixed point theorem in a cone, sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions are established. An illustrative example is also presented.
متن کاملExistence of Positive Solution for Second-order Impulsive Boundary Value Problems on Infinity Intervals
In recent years, impulsive differential equations have become a very active area of research and we refer the reader to the monographs [8] and the articles [6, 9, 10, 14, 15], where properties of their solutions are studied and extensive bibliographies are given. In consequence, it is very important to develop a complete basic theory of impulsive differential equations. Also, infinite interval ...

In present paper, the author investigates the existence of positive solutions of boundaryvalue problems for second-order functional differential equations on infinite intervals as followsx′′ − p(t)x′ − q(t)x+ f(t, xt,xt) = 0, t ∈ I = [0,∞),αx(t)− βx′(t) = ξ(t) ≥ 0, t ∈ [−τ, 0], ξ(0) = x(∞) = 0,where α ≥ 0, β > 0, ξ(t) ∈ C[−τ, 0]. By applying fixed point index theorem on cone...

which arises in many different areas of applied mathematics and physics. Singular problems of this type that the nonlinearity g may change sign are referred to as singular semipositone problems in the literature. Motivated by BVP (1.1), this paper presents the existence results of the following second-order singular semipositone boundary value problem: { u ′′ + f(t, u) + g(t, u) = 0, 0 < t < 1,...
متن کاملMultiple positive solutions for second order impulsive boundary value problems in Banach spaces
By means of the fixed point index theory of strict set contraction operators, we establish new existence theorems on multiple positive solutions to a boundary value problem for second-order impulsive integro-differential equations with integral boundary conditions in a Banach space. Moreover, an application is given to illustrate the main result.
